Triune Blog Train Update!

I have updated the original post.  Thanks so much for your encouragement during my weight loss challenge and for extending me some grace in being late this month in getting pieces posted.

If you were wondering how I did - in nine weeks (we started Feb. 13th. . . yeah, right before Valentine's Day), I lost 47 pounds.  The finale is on Thursday, where I will find out if I won my category for a shot at the grand prize.  What's the grand prize you ask. . . $1,000!!  The have a second place prize of $250 which would be cool too.

Triune Blog Train - Above Rubies

It's that time again! We have a great color palette for you this month.  Our theme was Above Rubies/Proverbs 31 Woman.  Just in time for Mother's Day.

And I have some sad news.  You will have to come back on Wednesday to get my pieces (on here and the Bonus Stop).  But I will make it worth your while.  Promise.

If you follow by email, located on the right, you will get an update when I post my pieces.  You can also "like" my facebook page and I will send out an update there as well.  Just make sure I am in a list, show in newsfeed or receive notifications.

I am very sad that I don't have my part finished.  I am on overload right now.  :(  BUT I am on the final days of my weight loss challenge.  I have weigh in Tuesday morning, which means I can finish everything Tuesday evening and have it posted by Wednesday morning!

Family 2010-2013

Being a photographer, I often make pages using large photos.  I like when the photo is the main subject on the page.  FranB Design's new templates, Big & Beautiful, are awesome for accomplishing just that!  And the kit Celebrate Life by Designs by Shelly Marie caught my attention with it's wonderful blues!  I will say that I altered one of her elements for my page.  The "Family" title at the bottom is actually the top of her frame.  I just deleted the frames off and adjusted the border so it matched.

My Charmed Life

MyMemories is having a contest - the prize is this AMAZING necklace that I really, REALLY want to win!!!  With Mother's Day coming up. . . and my birthday, I would be thrilled!  AND it would be a small keepsake to remind me of who I am and that I am still a female. . . even though I do a lot of little boy things. . .

The contest was to scrap a page sharing "my charming life."  I thought about this for about 4 days. LOL  My life as a Stay-at-home-Mom to an almost 3 year old. . . has a lot more days of chaos than charm.  So, I chose some moments that highlight the charm of having a little boy *wink*

Easter 2013

I had taken some time off from my CT duties.  But it's a new month and I am making my way back.
We had a blast on Easter!

Even though we don't celebrate the easter bunny, we got Tristan a basket.  AND my inlaws got him one, too. 
I used Funny Bunny Land from Lisa Rosa Designs.  She's kind of new. . . but I enjoy her kits.
