Vacation Banner

I'm sure I've talked about it before, but I got started scrapping by making winning banners for a Mom's group I'm a member of.  We have categories, submit pics, then vote.  I used to just help, then the person who ran it, gave it to me.  I have since gotten help (Callaluna/Heather) and are starting to involve one more person who said they would like to make banners!
This is a banner I made for the contest.  I modified it for blog posting (removed some info).  I think it turned out cute.

Praise Timeline Cover

So, first of all. . . I have been away for a while.  The summer really overwhelmed me.  Between my medical issues, several wedding jobs (I'm a photographer) and other individual shoots, my son breaking his arm and feeling stressed and not myself at all, I just didn't have it in me to scrap.
I withdrew from most people and things.  I'm not back 100% yet.  But I hope to be soon.
I can only ask for your forgiveness.

Now. . . on to my new timeline cover.  I saw this kit and knew I had to have it.  And I've been wanting to make a new Facebook cover photo for a while.  I made my other one earlier this year.  I decided to make one without a picture.  I like how it turned out!

Triune Blog Train - Noah's Ark

It's that time again! We have a great color palette for you this month.  Our theme was Noah's Ark.

So, I was challenged with another medical issue.  I'm still dealing with it. . . was put on estrogen to try and correct things.  But the side effects have been awful for me.  I have not been feeling like myself in several weeks.

I can't wait to be back to my self. . .

I regret to inform you, I don't have my pieces finished. :(  But I will post them when I do.  Summer has made this a short train.  But I hope you still find some useful items!

I have had several people comment about not having a facebook account.  And I respect your decision, so if you do not have an account, but would like the items offered on facebook. . . Please email me and I will get you the link to download those pieces.  sairidesigns [@] gmail [.] com

I am the "train station" for this blog train.  If you get lost, come on back and you can continue where you left off.  I am very thankful and blessed to have such fantastic artists contributing to "my" blog train!  Thank you to all of you!

Triune Blog Train - I Will Make Them One Nation

It's that time again! We have a great color palette for you this month.  Our theme was I Will Make Them One Nation.  Just in time for United States' 4th of July.

I regret to inform you, I still don't have May's pieces finished.  I am amazed I got this month's portions finished!  I've been battling a tremendous amount of pain in my mouth, due to a couple broken teeth.  It got so bad over the previous 2 weeks, I was in tears everyday and was no longer sleeping.
One Monday (the 10th), I went to see my dentist and he told me there was nothing that he could do for me; he had to refer me to an oral surgeon.  YIKES!  They said that I wouldn't be able to come in for my consult until the next week - but because I was in so much pain, they were able to squeeze me in the next day!  I didn't want to wait to long - My birthday is next week AND my husband is leaving on a missions trip.  So, it either had to happen before he left or I would have to deal with the pain until July, when he got back!
I went in for my consult on Tuesday, and because of a cancellation, I could get all 4 wisdom teeth taken out on Wednesday (the 12th)!!  OH MY!  I was not ready at all!  But I did it.  And the down time gave me a chance to get some designing done. LOL  So, I actually have pieces for you this time!  WHOO HOO!

AND God is so great!  My pain before the surgery was a 10 or higher!  After the surgery, it's like a 0.5 or a 1!!  It is NOTHING compared to before!  So, I'm feeling so blessed!

I'm going to keep trying to get some May pieces finished.  Maybe while my hubby is away I can.  We will see. . .

I have a paper pack for you here on the blog:

And I have an element/paper add-on pack for you on the Triune Train Facebook page which is only listed from this page - there is no link at the end of the list as a bonus stop this time:

Our Thing

The Lovely Colors over at With Love Studio are such a fun way to mix and match pieces.  Though, I will admit, most of the time I end up getting the matching pieces. LOL
It's a very soft color palette this month.  I really liked the love theme of the Smitten pieces, by Midnight Owl Designs.  And I love templates, so I just had to use those too!

Grand Canyon

My husband and I took a trip to Arizona to visit his grandparents in 2009.  It was only the second time I had ever been on a plane!  With that said, I had never seen the Grand Canyon either.
It was such a glorious sight!  So beautiful!
Four years later, I scrapped my first page from that trip! LOL  I used the XOXO Collab, Are We There Yet? from With Love Studios.  And a template from FranB Designs' This & That Vol 6 pack!  I LOVE the big photo!  It was perfect for this page.

Warms My Heart

My best friend and I are starting to do a weekly challenge with each other.  Just to help us make time to scrap.  It might be a little more than just once a week, especially since I've already finished this week's!  Our challenge this week was to scrap a Mother's Day page.  Kind of feels like cheating since I have SO many things from the last 3 years to scrap about, but I did a page from this year.
I used the new kit from Mollyscraps, Melemele Poni.  AND the new templates from FranB Designs, This and That V6.

Triune Blog Train - Father's Strength

It's that time again! We have a great color palette for you this month.  Our theme was Father's Strength.  Just in time for Father's Day.

And I have some sad news.  I don't have any pieces this month :(  I have had a crazy busy schedule.  I LOVED the color palette too, so I might do something along with next month's theme and post it. . . Now that life is slowing down, I'll try to make time for that.  Especially since I feel so bad.  Not only did I not get my pieces done, I also totally spaced that today was the 15th.  I thought it was the 13th.  Not sure why or how, but my brain had the wrong date.

I will share some photos of the craziness that has been my life.  All good things, but it's taken me away from my laptop, leaving no time for designing.  On top of all the normal whirlwind that is my life (I am a stay-at-home-mom of a, now, three year old.  I'm sure you understand LOL), these things were thrown on top:

My husband and I went to Spokane, WA (about 5 hours away) to see John Maxwell speak for the weekend in the middle of April.  We do this every year.  He is an amazing speaker and writer!  Of course that means packing for two different occasions - us and my son who was staying at Nana and Poppop's house!

My hubby's birthday was the next weekend (April 27th).  I don't have a pic from that. . . LOL

Then five days later it was our son's 3rd birthday!! :)  We didn't do a lot of celebrating because I was leaving town that day :(  But I got to spend a couple hours with him in the morning and he had a fun day.

That same day I headed to our church's ladies retreat.  I created a bunch of things for it (door tags, binder covers, bookmarks, labels - and put all the binders together) over the last few weeks which also added to my busy schedule.  We in Ocean Shores from Thurs-Sun.  It was a lot of fun and I was happy to have a break!  Of course it was iNSD weekend, and I was really bummed to miss it.  But I was in good company and needed the time to spend with God.

My break was short.  As soon as I got back, it was back to running!  I had some catching up to do for being gone for 4 days AND Tristan's birthday party to prepare for!  Yikes!

My hubby talked me into making his cake. . . again.  I said after last year's I was not doing it!  But, I did.

And we surprised Tristan with a train ride!  It's an old train that they do special rides, very reasonably priced too!  We took my Mom and Dad and my inlaws.  Tristan had a blast!!

After the train ride, we stopped at home gave him some food then went to his party!  It was a super long day, but so fun :)

And that brings us to Mother's Day, which was busy and we weren't home.  And Monday and Tuesday I wasn't home either!  UGH!  And yes, I realize Sunday was the 12th. . . I'm not sure why I thought three days later was the 13th LOL  I think my brain finally fried! LOL

So, there you go.  A little glimpse into my FUN but chaotic life! :)

If you follow by email, located on the right, you will get an update if I post my pieces early.  You can also "like" my facebook page and I will send out an update there as well.  Just make sure I am in a list, show in newsfeed or receive notifications.

If you don't know this. . . it's true for any and all freebies I post:

Happy Mother's Day

I made a Mother's Day "card" to send to my Mom.  Then I altered it to a general, less personal, form so that it could be given to others.
I am not a fan of pink. . . at all!  But it was for my Mom and she likes red and pink.

The kit I used is Elizabeth Jane by Designs by Shelly Marie.

And I haven't update about the challenge at my gym. . . I got first place in my category (women's weightloss), but I didn't win the overall prize or runner-up *pout*  Sad times.
Thank you for all the encouragement!
